Update 11/20/21: Here is an overview of our tourist drivers/assistants who have obtained the Covid-19 Tourism Operational Guidelines Awareness and Knowledge under the supervision of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.
We currently only use drivers with such a certificate.
We have also minimized the maximum occupancy of the vehicles with guests.

Health and safety standards for our trips

Your safety is our team's top priority. Before your journey even begins, your driver will disinfect the vehicle. The driver will wear a mask throughout the journey. Instead of a handshake, he will greet you with a bow. He will help you with your luggage and disinfect the handles afterwards.

FAQ about COVID 19

What happens if I test positive for COVID-19?
If you or one of your fellow travelers tests positive for COVID-19 within two weeks of your last trip, please inform us immediately. This will help us all to stop the spread.

Do I have to wear a face mask while driving?
We kindly ask that our guests wear masks. This protects our drivers and future guests.

What is SRILANKATRANSFER doing to protect drivers and guests?
Our drivers are instructed to clean the interior thoroughly after every ride. Our drivers are required to wear a mask while driving. They will greet you with a slight bow instead of a handshake. When helping with the luggage - if desired - the handles will be disinfected afterwards.
SRILANKATRANSFER has reduced the maximum number of guests to protect everyone. The passenger seat always remains empty. No more than two guests may sit in our cars. The minivans are limited to four guests. A maximum of six guests may sit in the minibuses. The capacity of the minibuses is limited to ten guests. The party bus can only be used with a maximum of 22 guests.
We ask that guests who show any symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19 do not book a trip on SRILANKATRANSFER until a doctor's clearance has been obtained.

What happens if a driver or SRILANKATRANSFER employee is directly affected or tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19)?
The safety of our guests and drivers is our top priority. We require that every driver and employee of SRILANKATRANSFER who tests positive informs us immediately. As soon as we have this information, we will inform all guests and colleagues who have been in contact with them in the last two weeks.
We require our drivers and colleagues who suspect that they may be ill not to undertake any journeys and to consult a doctor immediately. The driver may only work for SRILANKATRANSFER again after a conclusive negative decision from the doctor.

What happens if I am delayed at the airport due to long waiting times?
The services of SRILANKATRANSFER naturally include a free waiting time for all airport pick-ups. The dispatcher and driver are aware of the flight details you have provided.
However, if long waiting times are foreseeable, please let us know.

Can and may the SRILANKATRANSFER drivers help me with my luggage and other personal belongings?
Yes, our drivers will pay the same attention as before the pandemic. However, if you prefer to load your luggage yourself, the driver will open and close the trunk. This way, only you touch your luggage. If the driver moves your luggage, he will disinfect the handles afterwards.

Are hourly bookings still possible for the excursions?
Of course. All our guests can book hourly trips from all addresses in Sri Lanka.
One-way bookings with one or more stopovers (waypoints) are also possible. You can enter these waypoints during the booking process and they will be added to your order. During the booking process there is a field "Additional information". Please enter your waypoints there.
